Both common conceptual value characteristic features of POWER of the said languages and their national and cultural specific peculiarities have been noted. In general, both language collectives possess a homogeneous attitude to the authorities which is determined by universal association of POWER irrespectively of a certain culture. It has been found out that such homogeneity is determined by curtain axiological factors, as POWER is generally thought as a certain value.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article views the axiological potentials of the set-expressions explicating the concept POWER in modern English and Russian.
