The exchange and cooperation between each state is becoming wider. This, in turn, predetermines the need for a deeper knowledge of the relationships and interactions of representatives of different cultures, who often have completely different views, character traits, mentality, etc., which ultimately shape the speech and language of each culture. Color is of great importance in our lives. A person lives in a color world, and color is closely related to each of us, but the relationship between a person and color is one of the biggest mysteries. With the help of color terms, the deepest and most complex human thinking and various aspects of life can be shown. The development of intercultural communications, in particular between representatives of the Russian and Chinese cultures, is one of the priority areas of bilateral cooperation, and its result is an accurate understanding and transmission of the information received. In turn, this determines the mutually beneficial and successful development of bilateral relations in the long term. This article presents the results of a study of linguocultural connotations of black in Chinese and Russian, identifies the main similarities and differences of direct, symbolic and metaphorical meanings of words in the language pattern of the world of each language, ranks lexemes with root chyorn- (black) in Russian and lexemes expressed with hieroglyph黑(Hey) in Chinese by negative and positive traits.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>In the context of globalization, the connection between each nation, each culture is becoming closer.
