The author&amp;rsquo;s reference to this issue is based on the interest of modern linguistics to the question of intertextuality and peculiarities of its translation in literature discourse. The author studies and compares two translations of the novel. This approach helps to give a detailed analysis of different means of translation to which the translators refer to and explain their frequency. The article shows that the correct translation of precedent phenomena is important not only in recreating cultural and language knowledge of potential readers of the novel, but also in saving their connotations in the translated versions of the novel.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article deals with comparative research of precedent phenomena and ways of their translation into Russian in the novel &amp;ldquo;Bridget Jones&amp;rsquo;s Diary&amp;rdquo; by Helen Fielding.
