Dialogue with E. Montale. “Bring me the sunflower”: experience of translation
In the article, the author examines the peculiarities of the work of the Italian poet E. Montale using the poem “Bring me the sunflower" as an example. The relevance of the study lies in the need to study the work of the Italian poet in the aspect of the theory of translation of the poetic text: methodological techniques are offered that allow the translator to be as close as possible both grammatically and stylistically to the original text. The author explores the work of E. Montale from the point of view of the peculiarities of his creative handwriting, individual style, analyzes various trends characteristic of translations of poems by E. Montale. A comparative analysis of two versions of the translation of the poem “Bring me the sunflower” is proposed. The article proposes the author's translation, made together with G. Belussi. The works of E. Montale, translated into Russian, are the most important element of intercultural dialogue.
