LINGUISTIC PERSONALITY OF AN ORTHODOX PREACHER AS A MEANINGFUL LINGUOFORMAT OF RELIGIOUS DISCOURSE (ON THE MATERIAL OF THE SERMON "DISTRESS IN A WAY THAT GOD APPROVES AND THE WORLD'S KIND OF DISTRESS" BY ARCHBISHOP LUKA OF SIMFEROPOL AND CRIMEA (V.F.

The article attempts to review the features of religious discourse as well as various approaches of the domestic linguists to understanding of a linguistic personality structure, provides the cognitive analysis of Orthodox sermon by Archbishop of Simferopol and Crimea Luka (V.F.Voyno - Yasenetsky) "Distress in a Way That God Approves and the World's Kind of Distress". In the process of the sermon analysis, a list of lexeme-collocates or keywords, entering the conceptual field of "original sin", "distress", "repentance", "punishment", has been compiled. Based on the above list, such super-frequent lexeme-collocates as "God", "world", "repentance", "death", "life" , which are the cognitive dominants of the text under consideration, have been marked. The stylistic devices the author resorts to, have been c considered and compared. Discursive tendencies on the basis of discursive activation of the lexemes with a common seme have been revealed. Finally, the specificity of Saint Luka’s style and linguistic personality in the context of a single sermon has been characterized.
